This page lists all rules for joining the clan as well as for all members. Please make yourself thoroughly aware of all rules. Ignorance of the rules is not an excuse in a situation where such rules may be enforced.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In order to join the clan, you should be able to play at most clan practices and battles. That is, you should be able to have free time at weekends and evenings in order to participate.

Though international members are welcome to apply, those who are accepted should be aware that they will have to make themselves available for battles etc on Canadian/US EST time. If the time difference would make this impossible, please do not apply.

You must not currently be a member of a clan which plays Team Fortress Classic. In some cases members of other clans may join the Angel fire as long as their current clan does not play TFC and they are able to play for us without conflict.

A Hotmail Account and MSN Instant Messenger is a MUST or America Online! If you don't have it, Get it before you apply!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Member Rules

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Members should attend as many practices and battles as possible. Angel Fire does not force members to attend those they do not wish to; however, each member should attend a minimum of one clan practice per month. If you are asked to take part in a battle with another clan, you must do your best to turn up for it. If you are unable to do so, please inform a clan leader at least 1 day beforehand. If you simply do not turn up, we will be one man short and you are liable to be suspended from the clan. Please note that servers may be locked after the battle has started so please be at least 10 minutes early.
Before each battle, there will be a clan conference for all members taking part on MSN Messenger. It is a requirement of being in Angel Fire that each member has a MSN Messenger ID and sends it to the clan email address. Please make sure you are part of this conference, otherwise it may be assumed that you are not attending the battle and a replacement may be called in.
We would request that no member exceeds the normal level of profanity. Any member who displays any signs of racism will be immediately suspended and is liable for immediate expulsion from the clan.
All members must display the clan insignia [Angel FIre] before their handle when playing TFC, either with the clan or on their own.
No member may be a part of another TFC playing clan without the express permission of the clan leader.
All members are requested to co-operate with the wishes of the clan leaders and the rest of the clan. We are not dictatorial, but we would ask that you do not disobey orders. If you persistently disobey the clan leaders after several warnings, you will be suspended from all clan activities.
All members must show a general attitude of friendship and comradery to all other members. Remember that the clan is a team, and as such we must all work together. However, it is also a 'club', and therefore each member must also be able to feel that they are making a contribution to the clan which is appreciated by others. Those who deliberately upset a member or make their life difficult in any way are not welcome in ACID.
All members must enjoy playing Team Fortress Classic, irrespective of skill level. It is a requirement of being in Angel Fire that each member enjoys playing the game with the clan.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Constitution

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All members are equal. Excepting the two leaders, no-one has any power over any other member and each member has equal rights for anything and everything to do with the clan. Though members join at different times and are assigned different roles within the clan, no-one has any superiority over any other.
No member, not even the leaders, have the power to instantly admit new members into the clan. Once a formal application has been made, the clan must give its unanimous consent to the new admission before the new member can join. Once consent has been given, formal admission then goes to a leader. If anyone feels that this has been bypassed, the matter should go to a leader for judgement. Similarly, no member can be immediately expelled from the clan without full member agreement.
ACID is a democracy. Each member has a fair and equal vote on all matters. All opinions can and must be freely expressed. Though the leaders are the only ones who have the most power, if the members unanimously decide that a leader is not worthwhile in his job, they have the right to replace him with a new leader of their choice, and / or expel him from the clan.
All members have the unquestionnable right to bear arms.
Each person is allowed to voice constructive criticism on any other member freely and at any time. However, if this is deemed to be trying to be delibarately nasty to the member in question, drastic action will be taken - see point 7, above.
Not a single member in Angel Fire is ever deemed "useless". Each and every member, whatever their skill, makes a worthwhile contribution to the clan.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Member Jobs and Rules in Angel Fire

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There are several distinct roles in the clan. Each job is done by the member(s) who ask to do it. This job must be done to the best of their ability, and they must be constantly trying to improve their work / get new server bookings, etc etc. The jobs and members are listed below. If you wish to take up or leave a job, please email me at acidrain@clan-acid.com and I'll sort it out. Each member must strive to perform their assigned job to the best of their ability, in order to maintain the smooth running of the clan.

Clan Admin: _-=[A.F]=-_Disposable Heroes

All members are requested to create useful binds in order to facilitate communication during a match.
A server should be booked for 1 hour at least every two weeks. This is the responsability of the server bookers. It is due to the server bookers to make sure it is set with the TFC maps for that period, and they are all evenly spread across each booking.
Each member must try and attend each of these bookings. If you are unable to attend for whatever reason, please post a message to say so as soon as you know. If no members turn up, it is impossible to practice and improve. A dim attitude will be taken of those who persistantly miss games without a good reason.
When a member has the time, they should try to join the Angel Fire server in the evening so the clan can get together and practice our new techniques.
A disciplinary system is in operation in the clan, not to control members, but to prevent those who are not really committed from going unnoticed. If anyone breaks any of the rules in this charter, especially any of those below, they should bring this up with the member concerned FIRST. If they still are unable to rectify the situation, they should bring it up with other members. If the other members agree, then the problem will be submitted to clan admin for consideration and possible action.
All members must do their best to turn up to all practices / matches, unless they have a reasonable excuse. This is fairly liberal but "I forgot" does not qualify. See Member Rules, Point 1, above.
All members must act maturely at all times when playing under the clan insignia Angel Fire .This means not gratuitously insulting anyone, delibarately irritating any person on the same server, or showing bad sportsmanship. We all know what that means.
If you are playing in a match or practice, you must do your best to win it for the clan. This is not neccessary when playing on a public server, but especially during a match, this is imperative.
All members are required to enjoy playing TFC on their own and with the clan. This is the single most important rule.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

During a game (Match) no clan member is allowed to talk to the opposing team under any circumstance, unless you talk with an OFFICER.

During tournament or clan vs. clan games, PLAYERS WILL PLAY WHAT THEIR CLASS IS DESIGNED FOR. This mean that defensive players will stay in our base and defend, and that offensive players will capture the flag.

All Angel Fire members MUST change their names to
_-=[A.F]=-_ In front of there name.

I hope everyone gets along. :)
